Superficiality is the curse of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual problem. The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people – Richard Foster
One of the most important but neglected aspects of leadership is our “inner world”. Most organisations focus on external results and measurable achievement. These are the things, which are noticed and affirmed. If we deliver in these areas few people will question our leadership.
However, it is possible to be gifted, intelligent and influential and still be empty on the inside. When we focus on the urgent to the exclusion of the important we develop unsustainable patterns of living. The resultant depletion of our inner resources increases stress, distorts our perspective and eventually undermines our effectiveness.
But, life and leadership can be different. It’s possible to be a high achiever without sacrificing your integrity, health or relationships. It requires clarity, courage and support to do so. I’m here to help you and your team flourish in life and leadership so that you love the journey and last the distance.
